This is in response to your letter dated May 30, 1989, inviting the NRC to participate in an interagency coordination group being established to address environmental health issues at the Santa Susana Field Laboratory.
Since this matter pertains to activities-that appear to be under DOE purview, NRC participation in this case.would be inappropriate. However, we will be' glad to respond to any inquiries concerning the activities that are conducted under NRC License No. SNM-21, the requirements contained in the NRC regulations and conditions of the license.
