. Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute ATTN: Mr. Robert M. Ryan, Director Office of Radiation and Nuclear Safety Troy, New York 12181 Gentlemen:
In accordance with your application dated February 1,1989, and pursuant to Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 70, Materials License No. SNM-910 is hereby amended to delete the license conditions requiring the personnel monitoring program. In addition, Condition 29 is added.to extend the retention period for certain records. Accordingly, Conditions 10 and 29 shall read as follows:
- 10. Authorized use: For receipt, possession, and use in accordance with the statements, representations, and conditions specified in the application dated April 10, 1987, and suppler.,ents dated June 23, 1987, and February 1,1989.
- 29. Documentation generated in accordance with the licensee's application dated February 1,1989, shall be maintained for a period of at least 5 yea rs.
Please note that at the time of the license renewal, Condition 9 was inadvertently excluded. To correct the error, Condition 9 is added and reserved.
All other conditions of the license remain the same.
Condition 29 was discussed and agreed to by your Mr. Robert Ryan and Mr. Scott Pennington of my staff on April 12, 1989.
Enclosed are copies of revised License No. SNM 910 and our Safety Evaluation Report.
