Dear Sir:
Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, we hereby request all documents including but not limited to reports, decisions, letters and memoranda, relating tor (1) Long Island Lighting Company's application for, and NRC denial of a license for low power testing; Long Island Lighting's documentation of the Shoreham nuclear facility, insofar as such documents relate to Lilco's-emergency back-up power source (i.e., diesel generators supplied by Transamerica DeLaval);

(2) Use of Transamerica _ DeLaval generators at any i
other nuclear facility including all production.
Production should include NRC Opinion No. LBP-85-18 (June 14, 1985); ASLB No. 77-347-OIC-OL (October 29, 1984);
and evaluation reports of the Transamerica DeLaval diesel generators' reliability, shortcomings and defects with respect to use in nuclear plant or high capacity electrical generating facility.
We are prepared to bear all expenses associated with this request.
