9: AIRMAN ZECH LETTER TO CONGRESSMAN GEJDENSON In a letter dated Mer 22, 1989, Chairman lech responded to a series of questions from Congressman Gejdenson concerning the Ellison investigation.
One of the questions asks what allegations Mr. Ellison made against NRC officials.
Among the long list-of allegations is the one that, " Thomas Murley, former Administrator, Region I, and Sam Collins, Region I, may have kept a report relating to Mr. Ellison's allegations from being issued."
I am quite sure that I did not keep any report relating to Mr. Ellison's allegations from being issued. My instructions to the Region I staff at the time were to follow up on all allegations received, to disposition each one, and to maintain a record of each disposition. For those allegations that were dispositioned by an NRC inspection, the conclusions were to be issued in inspection reports.
To the best of iay knowledge these instructions were followed while I was Regional Administrator.
