Operating Report for.
May 1989 Limerick Generating Station Unit 1 May 1 through'May 31, 1989 I.
Narrative Summary'of Operating Experiences Limerick. Unit 1 began the month of'May in operational condition.4 with refueling activities complete and the reactor vessel hydro in progress.
On May 15 at 0734. hours,.
Unit:1 entered operational condition 2 and reactor criticality was achieved at 1800 hours0.0208 days <br />0.5 hours <br />0.00298 weeks <br />6.849e-4 months <br />.
On May 17 reactor vessel pressure w;w increased to 920 psig in preparation for HPCI and RCIC testing and at 2148 hours0.0249 days <br />0.597 hours <br />0.00355 weeks <br />8.17314e-4 months <br /> Unit 1 entered operational' condition 1.
On May 19, the-main generator war synchronized'to the' grid with reactor power at 17%.
The month of May ended with Unit 1 reactor power at 79%.
Power is presently being maintained less'than 80% until feedwater copper concentration decreases below the administrative limit
.of 0.2 ppb for fuel cladding integrity, There were no' operational events'of significance thati occurred during the month of May.
II. Challenges to Main Steam Safety Relief Valves During the month of May there were no challenges to the main steam safety relief valves.
