REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION MIT RESEARCH REACTOR DOCKET NO. 50-20

1. Assuming that MIT 11 unable to acquire a shipping cask, please estimate the total kilograms uranium-235 that would be on site on June 30, 1989, January 1,1990, June 30,1990, and January 1,1991. Please state any assumptions used in your analysis. In light of this analysis, please justify your requested limit of 45 kilograms.
2. Please modify your suggested wording for paragraph 2.B(2) of your Facility Operating License to include in addition to the total special nuclear mate-rial (SNM)thatmaybepossessed,limitsonunirradiatedandirradiated fuel, and other SNM that may be possessed. Also include limits on enrichment.
