Limerick Generating Station, Unit 1 Electrical Power Systems Technical Specifications

REFERENCE:

Letter, R. J. Clark, (NRC) to G. A. Hunger, Jr. (PECo) dated May 19, 1989 Gentlemen:

This letter is to confirm our recent discussions with your staff regarding the Limerick Generating Station (LGS) Units 1 and 2 electrical power systems Technical Specifications (TS).

During the development of the LGS Unit 2 TS, certain changes to Actions "a."

and "e." of TS Section 3.8.1.1 were agreed to by your staff and Philadelphia Electric Company (PECo) representatives.

These changes are described in the enclosure to this letter and are reflected in the Unit 2 Final Draft TS which were transmitted in the referenced letter.

Upon issuance of the Unit 2 TS, PECo will implement these same changes via administrative controls established for Unit 1 operation.

These controls will remain in effect until a Unit 1 TS change request is submitted by PECo and subsequently approved by the NRC.

Changed the allowable out of service time (AOT) for one inoperable diesel generator from 92 days to 30 days.
