(Seabrook Station, Unit 1)
Docket No.:

Dear Ms. Tomkins:
Please be advised that SAPL, through its undersigned attorney, received the brief on behalf of the NRC Staff on Wednesday, June 7, 1989, and is filing, one day after receipt, its reply brief j
addressing both the Applicant and Staff briefs on the issues now pending before the Appeal Board.
We understand that no other j
reply briefs are to be filed.
q SAPL would again make note of the pending joint intervenor motion (May 3, 1989) that the Appeal Board expedite oral argument, if oral argument is to be had, on this appeal, and that it make arrangements to hold the argument in the state of New Hampshire.
l The interveners consider the Appeal Board's earliest convenient consideration of these issues to be of extreme importance, given the fact that many of the issues, including the key issue of the standard by which an emergency plan is to be judged, may well be vital to a decision on the ongoing consideration concerning the so-called Seabrook Plan for Massachusetts Communities, as well as the New Hampshire Radiological Emergency Plan.
Very truly yours,
=
