Dear Sir or Madame:

The Harshaw/Filtrol Partnership located at 6801 Cochran Rd.,

Solon, Ohio, would like to amend its SNM427 license to allow for-the possession and use of a small amount of plutonium-239 as an alpha and X-ray emitting' source for the use in the development-and' calibration radiation detection equipment.

The sources to be used will be received and contained in an AN/UDM-7C radiac calibrator set and are approximately 50.2 microcuries a piece.

The AN/UDM-7C is currently licensed to the Department of the Army, CECOM, Fort Monmouth, License number 29-01022-14, ref. locket 030-29741.

Specifically, we are requesting that Our SNFJ4' 7 license be amended 2
