SUMMARY
Scope:
This routine, announced inspection was conducted to verify. the
" Physical Protection of Shipments of Irradiated. Fuel" (Inspection Procedure No. 81310). This shipment originated in the USA at the Marine Terminal, Newsport News, Virginia and concluded at the Department of Energy facility in Aiken, S.C.
This shipment, which included offloading, was conducted in accordance with NRC require-ments relative to security, radiation controls and transportation.
Results: There were no violations identified.
The licensee's shipment was well coordinated and documented which facilitated the efforts of the inspectors.
