Dear Mr. Yoshimura:
This is in response to your request of April 27, 1989 to this office, your reference 15D-0917, for approval to'use 4.992 kilograms of high enriched uranium, originally intended for the Kyoto University High Flux Reactor, in the Kyoto University Reactor (KUR).
Your. request was reviewed by the Department of State, by other Executive Branch agencies, and by this office with all agencies agreeing to the proposed change in end use. You may advise the Kyoto University that use of the 4.992 kilograms for refueling the KUR has been authorized.
