ATTACHMENT 1 TO AEP:NRC:1090D Page 1 Violation "Section 2.4.1 of the approved D. C. Cook Modified Amended Security Plan (MASP) requires that key personnel receive retraining in contingency events at least each 12 months.
Section 3.1.1 of Appendix C to the MASP identifies key personnel as they relate to security contingencies as follows:
Plant Manager, Administrative Superintendent, Shift Supervisor, Security Manager, and Shift Security Supervisor.
Contrary to the above, the key personnel it utified in Appendix C to the MASP did not receive rettaining in security related contingency events at least each 12 months. The last such training was conducted in December 1986."
Response
Corrective Action Taken and the Results Achieved Training related to security contingency events was completed for the Plant Manager, Administrative Superintendent, and the Operations Shift Supervisor's by April 4, 1989. The Security Manager remains cognizant of contingency plan requirements on a continuous basis by virtue of day-to-day involvement in security activities. However, to satisfy the intent of the Security Plan and to evaluate the quality of training received by other key personnel, the Security Manager attended one of the Contingency Planning Sessions, l
