[External_Sender] Holtec International Proposal for a Storage Facility in Lea County, New Mexico To the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Representatives/Officials Conducting the Public's Feedback on Holtec International Proposal:

I am an American resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico. My wife and I have been living in New Mexico for over twenty years now, who arrived from our native states of Vermont and Michigan. We are well aware of nuclear energy use and deposal of nuclear waste from our past experiences living around nuclear energy plants in Vermont and Michigan.

I am totally opposed to any proposal from Holtec International or any company to use New Mexico land as a storage facility of nuclear waste. This proposal would put undo risk to New Mexico's land, air and water and its residents to unimaginable and uncalculated risks, no matter what Holtec International says otherwise. New Mexico has already done its share of risks and paying the price in the lives of its people, water and air from results of nuclear building, experiments and even exploding a nuclear bomb testing here. We already have opened a storage facility (the decision making of that process a suspect and disputed) in the salt beds of Eastern New Mexico. We have had enough.

A nuclear storage facility is going backward in our evolution as a species. Lea County residents may need jobs, what about sustainable renewable energies for such good paying jobs.

I believe the States who opted for nuclear energy and have benefited from nuclear energy should take care of their own storage of nuclear waste....sorry, but don't dump your waste on us!!!!!!
