Letter from T. J. Tulon to the NRC, "Second Interval Insen' ice Inspection Program Plan," dated April 17,1998.

2.

Letter from T. J. Tulon to the NRC, " Revision to Second Interval Inservice Inspection Program Plan," dated August 3,1998.

In Reference 1 Braidwood Station submitted the Braidwood Station Units 1 and 2 Insersice Inspection (ISI) Program for the Second Ten Year Interval. Included in this revision were specific Relief Requests from certain ASME Code requirements. In Reference 2, Braidwood Station revised the program plan following telephone conversations with the NRC. The changes to the program related to revising a number of the relief requests in the original submittal, requesting approval for a number of the relief requests by certain dates to support the upcoming Braidwood Unit 1 outage, and

/

withdrawing one relief request.

As a result of an August 24,1998 telephone conversation between Commonwealth g

Edison Company and the NRR, Braidwood Station has agreed to revise Relief Request 12R-15. Specifically, a requirement to inspect a minimum percentage sample of welded attachments for each item in each code class has been added to the request. To support this change to the relief request, Braidwood Station is submitting Revision 2 to the Braidwood Station Units 1 and 2 Inservice Inspection Program for the Second Ten Year Interval, which is attached.
