Enclosed is haterials License No. SNM-1976 issued in accordance with your application dated March 2, 1987, and its supplement dated July 28, 1987, and pursuant to Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 70. The license I
authorizes the receipt, possession, storage, and transfer of urrnium enriched j
in the U-235 isotope contained as residuals in empty UF cylinders. The 6
license conditions were discussed and agreed to by your Mr. Paul McCreery and Merri Horn of my staff on August 12, 1987.
In accordance with Commission policy for the tern of licenses issued pursuant to 10 CFR Parts 30, 40 and 70, please note that the licensing period is for 5 years, expiring September 30, 1992, and not for 20 years as you requested.
Please note Condition 16 requires the inspectionof all cylinder valves to identify those from Superior Valve Company lots numbered 16 through 22.
If any valves from these lots are identified, notify the Region II Office.
For your information, enclosed is a copy of an August 17, 1987, Order issued to various companies regarding the valves.
Enclosed is a copy of the Safety Evaluation Report in support of this license.
