Dear Mr Laudenat:
1 As a result of a review of our records, we found a duplication of costs charged for an inspection conducted at the Millstone 2 site. The inspection report (IR) number is 1997202 and the costs were billed during the first quarter of FY 1998. Northeast Utilities System paid $247,328 by FEDWIRE 808244-A4 for invoice RS0064-98. The February 7,1998, second quarter-Invoice RS0179-98 sent to Northeast Utilities System also included costs for IR #1997202 and was paid by FEDWIRE 811823A03 in the amount of $180,743.
The correction to invoice RS0064-98 to deduct the duplicated inspection costs reduced the amount of the invoice by $67,394, copy attached. Therefore, the amount over collected will be transferred to Northeast Utilities System within 10 days from the date of this letter.
