. )L Office of the Secretary s
U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission S,
Docketing and Service Division Washington, D.C.
20555 g/ RE:
Docket numbers:
50-275-OLA & 50-323-OLA
Dear.Commiselon Members:
I am currently a resident of Berkeley, having just completed my junior year at Cal Berkeley.
(My major is genetics.)
However, my home for eighteen years was;in Arroyo Grande, CA.,
so I have more than a passin interest in the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power P1nnt.
I will be unab.le to attend the public hearings concerning the storagd of additional waste at~1hc site, however, I hope that the commission turns down PG&E's request to store five times.as much radioactive waste at the Diablo Canyon site as it was designed to hold.
I fiqd it extremely irresponsible of the commission to allow the licensing of nuclear power plants, when there appears to be no plan for the storage-of the waste created.
With the discovery of yet another active earthquake fault in the area.
I see no logic in storing waste in racks that can crash into each othei I worry about av family and community and fear another Chernobyl type accident.
Sincerely, g/
)
