Nuclear Regulatory Commission Docketing-and Service Division j

Washington, D.C.

20555 RE:

Docket numbers:

50-275-OLA & 50-323-OLA

Dear Commission Members:

I will be u t,+ 51 e to attend the public hearings in Avila Beach on June 15 and 16, 1987, concerning the Diablo Canyon nuclear plant.

j I therefore would like to take this opportlanity to express my concerns to the commission.

I would hope that the commission turns down PG&E's request to store more radioactive waste at the Diablo Canyon site.

One of the concerns during the construction of the plant was'that PG&E-would later ask for just such permission.

I believe that the commission shows great irresponsibility in allowing the licensing of nuclear power plants when we still have no clear plan for storage of nuclear _ waste.

I Just this past week yet.another active earthquake fault was located in the area.

PG&E again says not to worry.

I do.

I worry for I

my safety, my family's-safety, the safety of my community, my county, the surrounding land, and (as Chernobyl has shown us) the world.
