Power was further reduced to seventy nine percent (79%) on June 22, 1987, due to electrical storma in the aren.
The Unit returned to one hundred percent (100%) power on June 23, 1987, but load was reduced to thirty five percent (35%) power later the same day due to problems with No. 2C Vital Instrument Dun Inverter.
A power escalation was initiated June 24, 1987, following the inverters return to service.
On June 25, 1987 the Unit was removed from service due to apparent high vibration as,sociated with the No. 6 Turbine Bearing and an unusual noise emanating from the vicinity of the steam lines of No. 22 East Moistufe Separator Reheater (MSR).
A thorough inspection of the low pressure turbines, piping, and MSRs was performed, however, the source of the problem could not be clearly identified.
The Unit continued shutdown for investigation for the remainder of the period.
