ORDER In the absence of any objection thereto and for good cause shown, we grant the NRC Staff Motion for Extension of Time to Respond to the Massachusetts Attorney General's Motion to Reopen the Record and Admit Late-Filed Contention.

As a consequence of this action, the staff's response to the Attorney General's motion is now due on or before January 18, 1988.

We will expect the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation to make every effort to complete its review of the applicants' current proposal in sufficient time to enable the staff to meet this deadline.

In that connection, any motion for a further extension, whether or not opposed, must be accompanied by a detailed explanation respecting why the review was not so completed.
