The Committee to Review Generic Requirements (CRGR) met on Wednesday, July 22, 1987, from 1-4 p.m.
A list of attendees for this meeting is enclosed j
(Enclosure 1). The following items were addressed at the meeting:

W. Magee (ARM) presented for CRGR review proposed final amendments to l
Title 10 concerning records retention. The Comittee recommended to the ED0 that the proposed amendments package be released for public comment, following further review by the staff in two specific areas identified in discussions at this meeting and possible resulting wording revisions that would be coordinated with the CRGR staff. This matter is discussed in.
2.
G. Arlotto (RES) and R. Bosnak (RES) presented for CRGR review a proposed amendment that would allow exclusion of dynamic effects of postulated pipe ruptures in all high energy piping in all LWRs, if the piping meets i
certain rigorous acceptance criteria. The Committee recomended ED0 approval of the rule amendment package, subject to modifications reflecting several recommendations made by the Comittee at this meeting and other minor editorial revisions. All changes made to the package were to be coordinated with the CRGR staff. This matter is discussed in l.

In accordance with the ED0's July 18,1983 directive concerning " Feedback and Closure on CRGR Reviews," a written response is required from the cognizant office to report agreement or disagreement with CRGR recommendations in these minutes. The response, which is required within five workir.g days after I
receipt of these meeting minutes, is to be forwarded to the CRGR Chairman and l
if there is disagreement with the CRGR recommendations, to the EDO for decisionmaking.
