Bethesda, MD PURPOSE:

Northern States Power Company will describe the' proposed installation-of the ATWS mitigation system actuation circuitry (AMSAC) and the feedwater flow control upgrade system. The purpose of;this. presentation is to inform the staff of the AMSAC design details and the feedwater control system upgrade. The' upgrade _of the feedwater control system will be performed under 10 CFR 50.59 and AMSAC falls under 10 CFR 50.62 (MPA-A20) requiring a safety evaluation.by the staff.. Prior to the meeting, all NRC participants are requested to review the Prairie Island plant-specific design description transmitted by letter dated. February 26, 1987 and the latest correspondence attached. -A copy of the' meeting agenda is:
