TRIP REPORT FOR BROWNS FERRY SITE VISIT-DECEMBER 8-10, 1987 Listed below are the significant findings and accomplishments resulting from my site visit to Browns Ferry (BFN) from December 8-10, 1987:
Attended status meeting on Fire Protection program; long lead items 3
include cables, penetration seals, switches, and procedures.
Attended working meeting on Restart Technical Specifications (TSs).
List of restart TSs were reviewed to the restart criteria. Meeting summary will provide more details.
TVA provided excellent informal status briefings on the BFN Calculations Program and II.K.3.18 modifications.
Forthcoming meetings scheduled in January include Fire Protection and Calculations Program.
Successful working level meetings on Fire Protection and Seismic Design issues indicate progress.
Similar meetings will be held on a frequent basis to maintain progress.
