Gentlemen TEMPORARY MODIFICATION OF PROTECTED AREA SALEM AND HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATIONS DOCKET NOS. 50-272, 50-311, 50-354 In accordance with discussions held at Artificial Island on May 18, 1987, with NRC Inspectors R. Bailey and T. Madden and with Mr.
R.
Keimig and others of your staff at King of Prussia on July.
23, 1987, Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) will temporarily remove from the Protected Area the Salem Clean Facilities Building Addition construction site.
Schedules identify approximately a nine month construction phase buginning in mid-September 1987.
Additional construction and building modification lasting another thirteen months will take place within the reinstalled original Protected-Area.
Details of the temporary fencing and compensatory security measures are indicated on Attachments 1 and 2.
