A verification and validation (V&V) program was conducted on the Plant Vogtle Unit 1 Plant Safety Monitoring Systet (PSMS) to ensure

The V&V program was completed in May 1987 with the results transmitted to the NRC in letter GN-1373 dated June 1,
1987.
The NRC staff has reviewed this submittal and concluded that the Vogtle PSMS V&V program is acceptable (letter dated August 25,1987).
Following completion of V&V on Unit 1, the software and hardware differences with Unit 2 were determined.
The only differences
' identified were determined to be minor software changes in the display units.
The software change:: affected only Page 2 Primary Trends, Page 3 Primary Trends, Page 6 Detail Data and Core Temp T/C display pages.
These changes impacted only 5 units of code specific to the plasma displays.
No trouble or clarification reports were issued during the verification process. Furthermore, no trouble or clarification reports were filed during the validation process.
