The EFE also includes an evaluation of the TU Electric design control program to provide addition assurance that appropriate measures are in place for maintaining the design basis during plant operation.

The scope of the EFE is being covered in the following modules:

Design Completion Activities Design Data Utilization - Testing Design Data Utilization -

Maintenance and Operations Operating Plant Design Control

STATUS OF ENGINEERING -

FUNCTIONAL EVA.LUATION Emphasis to date has been placed on the Design Completion Activities Module.

The majority of the review of design documents has been completed.

Resolution and a closcout of items found is underway.

- A report on the Design Completion Activities Module will be issued following resolution of items found. The report is expected to be issued in the first quarter of 1988.
