CONVERSION OF THE MODIFIED TRIGA REACTOR  ;

In your letter of August 21, 1987, you inquired as te the scope of the i tubmittals required to support your proposal to convert the Modified TRIGA N actor from HEU to LEU fuel in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.64.

Your proposal should include, to the extent required to effect the conversion, all necessary changes in the license, facility, and procedures. For example, only those oortions of the Technical Specifications that are affected by the change ir tuel type should be included in the proposal. Supporting safety  ;

. analyses should be provided. Other changes to the license, not directly  :

related to tne conversion, that you may wish to submit concurrently with your conversion proposal (e.g. power increase), should be submitted as a separate package in accordance with 10 CFR S0.90.
