NOTICE TO THE PARTIES By Order of August 13, 1987, the Commission referred to this Licensing Board LILC0's motion seeking the appointment of a new licensing board and to approve an expedited schedule for the consideration of LILCO's request for approval to operate Shoreham at 25 percent power.
This Board, in addition to the above, has pending on its docket remands in CLI-86-13, CLI-87-05, ALAB-832 and ALAB-847, and LILCO's Second Renewed Motion for Summary Disposition of Legal Authority Issues along with a related LILC0 motion for leave to file a reply. While awaiting post hearing briefs on the reception center issue, heard in June and July, we are considering the LILC0 motions relating to the summary disposition of the legal authority issues.

In order to be able to timely consider the matters pending before this Board, we are requesting the views of the parties on prioritizing the docketed matters, whether there is a need to assign discrete issues to another Board, and if so, to identify the issues that can be assigned; and whether~ the provisions of 10 C.F.R. 2.722 can be usefully employed. The comments of the parties should be submitted to the Board by September 14,1987. - Responses may be filed with the Board by September 21, 1987.
