NRC TMI-2 CLEANUP PRUJECT DIRECTORATE WEEKLY STATUS REPORT FOR AUGUST 17 - 23, 1987 L
1.
DEFUELING Pick and place defueling of partial length fuel assemblies continued. Partial fuel assemblies G-9, G-10, H-9, H-10, K-10, K-12 and L-11 were loaded into defueling canisters. A total of 84 fuel assemblies of a total of 177 in the core have been loaded into canisters.
Five filled defueling canisters were transferred to storage racks in I
the refueling canal for temporary storage.

ENVIRO,1 MENTAL MONITORING US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) sample analysis results show that TMI site liquid effluents are in accordance with regulatory limits NRC requirements, and the City of Lancaster Agreement.
TM1 water effluents from the station (Units 1 ond 2) discharge are analyzed by EPA. Gama spectrum analyses of the seven daily composited sainples for August 1 - 8, 1987 indicated no reactor related activity.
