NARRATIVE

SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCES 3 At the beginning of the month the plant was in a refueling outage.  :

On June 9 and 10 low power physics testing was conducted.  !

On June 18 the unit was phased to the grid but later removed for turbine testing.

-On' June 19 the unit was phased to the grid. i On June 22 power was reduced to-37% due to main turbine vibration. j On- June 23 the unit was taken of fline f or adjustments to reduce H main turbine vibration.

i On June 25 the unit was phased to the grid. Power was held at 19%

L due to main turbine vibration.  ;

(; On June 26 power was increased to 33% but the unit was later E

taken:offline for adjustments to reduce main turbine vibration.

On June 26 the unit was phased to the grid. j On June 27 power was held at 48% for repairs to the #3 mainfeedwater '

regul ating valve controller. During repairs an increase in steam l generator water level occured and the unit was manually tripped.

On June 28 the unit was phased to the grid. Power was held at 61%

due to main turbine vibration.

On June 29 loading continued to 66%.

On June 30 power was reduced to 34% to evaluate main turbine vibration.

At the end of the month power was 34%.
