NARRATIVE

SUMMARY

OF OPERATIN8 EXPERIENCES i

At the beginning of the month the plant was at 84% power with ref ueling coastdown in progress.

On March 7th, power was reduced for turbine valve testing, extraction i

nonreturn valve testing and excess flow checkvalve testing. Power was increased to 81% on the 7th.

On March 16th, power was reduced to 75% to repair a first point heater-extraction steam valve.

On March 18th,. power was reduced to 73% to repair a chloride leak in the i

"B" waterbox of the condenser.

On March 19th, power was increased to 75%.

Refueling coastdown continued until late on March.27th when the generator was taken off-line to commente the refueling outage.

The plant was in refueling outage for the remainder of the month.
