The Unit operated the entire month at the nominal 80% power limit,.
(administratively imposed to minimize steam generator tube degradation).
Gross electrical' generation for the month of February was 604,680 MWH.
SUMMARY
1 2-19-87 At 0425 the South Boric Acid Storage Tank was below the Technical Specification Concentration requirement of 20,000 PPM (actual concentration was 19,127 PPM) due to inadvertent dilution caused while isolating the #4 Boric Acid Transfer Pump for repairs to the
' leaking shaft seal. The Action Statement for the boric acid flow path was entered 3 times to correct the concentration, on the following dates and times.
2-21-87 1930-2250 Boric Acid Flowpath inoperable--south storage tank aligned to north hold-up tank.
2-21 1442-1514 Boric Acid Flowpath inoperable--transferred. acid from batch tank to south storage tank increasing level from 71% to 79%.
2-23-87 1824-:900 Boric Acid Flowpath inoperable--transferred batch tank to south storage tank, level remained at 79%.

At 2200, the South Boric Acid Storage Tank Concentration was 21,300 PPM.

. MAJOR SAFETY-RELATED MAINTENANCE FEBRUARY, 1987 M-1 An oil leak'was found on the CD D'lesel Generator Blowout Plate for cylinder SF. The-leak wa's corrected by cleaning the inspection
~ plate and replacing the g6sket.
M-2 Boric acid was found leaking from the shaft seal on the 14 8'oric Acid Transfer Pump. Upon disassembly, the shaft was found to have been damaged. The shaft and seal were replaced, the pump rebuilt, and the pump returned to service.following operability testing.
M-3 Several leaks were found and repaired on the west train of the Component Cooling Water System.

'During valve testing, the control. valve "B" closed limit switch would not actuate, preventing stop valve "B" from operating
-correctly..The defective limit switch was replaced and proper.
operation' verified by testing.
