Clinton PcMer Station to' the Regional Director of FDR Region V for

.L.tJ' FDR's review and approval on November 25, 1986. - S e Regional Director forwarded his evaluation of the Illinois State and local plans to me in accx)rdance with section 350.11 of the rule.. His sutznission included an ' evaluation of the fullprticipation exercises conducted on January 13,1987, and December 4,.1985; interim findings

-dated May 11, 1982, December 13, 1985, and March 12, 1986; and a report of the public meeting held on February 25, 1987, which explained the site-specific' aspects of the State and local plans.

Bcsed on an overall evaluation, I find and determine that the Illinois State and local plans and preparedness for the Clinton Power Station are adequate to protect the health and safety of the public in that there is reasonable assurance that the appropriate protective measures can be taken offeite in the event of a radiological emergency. h e adequacy of the public alert and notification system was verified as being adequate by FD% on September 15, 1986.
