Dear Mr. Rooney:
Enclosed is a letter from General Electric requesting an amendment to export license XSNM01645 to increase the quantity of material authorized for export by an additional 26,000 kilograms of uranium containing 900 kilograms uranium-235 (4.0% enriched). The additional material will be used as reload fuel in the Nuclenor nuclear power reactor in Spain.
A letter of assurance is required that the material will be subject to all of the terms and conditions of an agreement for cooperation. Your assistance in obtaining the necessary assurance letter will be appreciated.
