Dear Senator Byrd:
Thank you for your July 21, 1987 letter concerning the.
proposal that we received from the OPW Corporation (OPW) for 1
the establishment of a Federally Funded Research and Development Center in response to our solicitation RS-NMS-87-005.
l As a result of our July 28, 1987 meeting with your staff and a subsequent discussion with OPW, I understand that OPW's concerns have been addressed.
Dr. George White, Chairman of the OPW Board of Directors, informed.us of his satisfaction that NRC had provided timely clarification of the issues raised in your July 20, 1987 letter.
Dr. White advised that OPW would await the normal debriefing process for any further information regarding our evaluation of their proposal.
We will notify OPW once an award is made and will schedule the requested debriefing at that time.
We hope our actions have been helpful.
If we can be of further assistance, please let me know.
