(a) Letter from Mr. J. A. Tiernan (BG&E) to NRC Document Control Desk, Request for Exemption from Annual Reporting Requirements in 10 CFR 50.54(a)(3) and 10 CFR 50.71(e)(4), dated June 11, 1987 Gentlemen:
Enclosed 'for your-information and use is one signed original and ten additional copies of Revision' 6 to our Updated Final Safety Report (FSAR). These copies are provided in accordance with 10 CFR 50.71(e) and 50.4(b)(6) with two exceptions. Although 10 CFR. 50.71(c)(4) requires licensees to submit revisions at least annually, we are submitting Revision 6 one year and two m9nths later than Revision 5 for reasons given in Reference (a).'
Also, Chapter ' 11, Waste Processing and Radiation Protection, needs to be revised to account for changes we made in processing radiological waste since we were originally licensed. Our Offsite Dose Calculation Manual (ODCM) contains the current methodology and parameters used in the calculation of offsite doses due to radioactive gaseous and
' liquid effluents, in the calculation of gaseous and liquid effluent monitoring alarm / trip setpoints, and in the conduct cf the environmental radiological monitoring program. The ODCM was submitted to you when we amended ' our Ra1.n*ive Effluent Technical Specifications. We are currently updating Chapter 11 using informate in the ODCM. We estimate we will submit a revised Chapter 11 by March 31,1988. In the attached revision, we have added a note at the beginning of Chapter 11 to inform the reader that'information in the chapter is not currcnt and may not be correct.
Attachment I to this letter identifies facility changes made under the provisions of 10 CFR 50.59 and reflected in this revision, but not previously reported to the Commission. The List of Effective Pages for the FSAR is included with the enc!, sed
