This is in response to Reference (a). The two reports you requested are attached for your review., " Fracture Analysis of Baltimore. Gas and Electric Calvert Cliffs Pump Shaf t," is the result of a joint effort between Borg-Warner Industrial Products, Inc. and Babcock and Wilcox. Please note that this report is a preliminary draft. Although no i
affadavit'is enclosed, due to the need to get this information to you quickly, we request that the information be treated as proprietary material.
We recognize that the requirements of 10 CFR 2.790 are not met, however, we have received verbal permission -
from Borg-Warner to release the material to you.
l is the results of the Southwest Research Institute's eddy current test-perf ormed on the shaf t removed from No.12A Reactor Coolant Pump.
