Dear Sir:

Enclosed for your information is Revision 17A of YOQAP-1-A. This revision addresses programmatic changes to our program (Section XVIII - Audits) for our operating plants: Yankee and Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Stations.

An evaluation has been performed on each change to determine if any require-ments contained in the previous NRC Approved QA Program were deleted or made less stringent. The evaluation used 10CFR50, Appendix B requirements as the basis for concluding the revised program incorporating the changes continues to satisfy the criteria of Appendix B. All changes are summarized in the attached.
