.. HIGHLIGHTS:

The reporting period began with the unit in Mode 5 at 147'F, preparing for~ the cycle 9-10 refueling. The steam generators were' drained for cleaning, and the unit brought.to half-loop configuration. Mode 6'was entered on 7-20-87..

An unusual event was declared on 7-23-87 to transport an injured and possibly contaminated worker ~to the hospital. .The unusual event.was terminated later the same day.

The reactor vessel head was lifted on 7-26-87, and fuel off-loading began later that day.- The reporting period ended in Mode 6 with fuel off-loading in progress.

Gross Electrical Generation for the month of Ju?y was 0 MWH.

SUMMARY

7-1 0000: The' unit is in Mode 5 at 147*F for the cycle 9-10 refueling outage.

7-2-87 2007: Started draining steam generators for cleaning.

7-6-87 1145: Half-loop established.

7-20-87 2203: Mode 6 entered. Began detensioning reactor vessel head stud:: in preparation for defueling.

7-23-87 1725: Declared unusual event. Transporting worker to hospital i in anti-contamination clothing due to a suspected back L injury.

1351: Unusual event terminated.

7-26-87 0015: Began lifting reactor head.

1532:- Began fuel off-load.

The reporting period ended with the unit in Mode 6, core unloading in progress.

I&C-1 The N-31 source range monitor detector was replaced after indicating erratically. The new detector was calibrated and operability tested before returning to service.
