This refers to the performance appraisal conducted by Dr. J. Blair Nicholas of this office during the period July 13-15, 1987, for the NRC/ State of Louisiana l
Environmental Monitoring Cooperative Agreement around Waterford-3 Steam Electric Station and River Bend Station and to the discussion of the appraisal results with you and other members of your staff on July 15, 1987.
Based on the appraisal results, we believe that the level of work has been suffic ent to satisfy the general conditions of the cooperative agreement.
l However, as documented in the enclosed appraisal report, we have several concerns ragarding items that did not fully satisfy the conditions of the cooperative agreement.
Many of these items are repeat items that were i
previously identified in 1984-85 the appraisal.
Accordingly, you are requested

l to reply, in writing, within 30 days of receipt of this letter concerning steps taken to ensure that the conditions of the contract are met.
