Fitness For Duty Performance Data Summary of Management Actions Six Month Period Ending June 30,1998 l

During the first six months of this year we had three positive tests. One was a contractor who was randomly selected and who failed to report for testing. He was made an administrative positive. The second positive was a contractor who was positive for marijuana at the 50 ng.

limit. The third positive was a Boston Edison employee who was positive in follow-up testing.

The employee has been discharged.

We tested 30.75 percent of our work force during this six month period. Our total positive test l

rate was 0.48 percent. This represents a drop in our positive tests' percentages. We tested six l

people for cause. No one was positive. Four of the 6 people tested for cause were licensee employee's. Eighteen Follow Up tests were performed. One licensee employee was positive.

Integrity checks revealed that there were 3 specimens having creatinine levels ofless than 200 ng. All of these tests were repeated. One of these tests was required to be observed.

There were no reportable events as required by 10CFR26.73.
