Dear Mr. Terry:
From June 21 through August 1,1998, a routine resident inspection wt,s conducted at your
Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station, Units 1 and 2 reactor facilities. The enclosed report
presents the scope and results of that inspection.
Ouring the 6-week period covered by this inspection, your conduct of activities at the Comanche
'
Peak facility was generally characterized by safety-conscious operations, sound engineering
and maintenance practices, and careful radiolog: cal work controls.
in accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its

enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
