RICK GRANTOM TO SPEAK OCTOBER 13,1998 I would like to extend an invitation to Mr. Rick Grantom of your staff to speak at a counterpart meeting of region-based inspectors to be held on October 13,1998, in the NRC's Region IV office in Arlington, Texas. The Region IV n.anagement and inspection staff would be interested in having Mr. Grantom provide a brief overview and perspective of the South Texas Project Gr.aded Quality Assurance Program, which has been recently approved by the NRC.

Mr. Jeffrey L. Shackelford of our office has been in corWact with Mr. Grantom, and a preliminary agreement has been reached regarding Mr. Grantom's participation in the meeting. Hopefully, I
