Dear Mr. Echavarri:
It is with great pleasure that I accept your invitation to participate in the Fortieth' Anniversary celebration of the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA), and to be the guest speaker at the official dinner on September 30,1998. The contribution of nuclear energy cooperation to a new global age and the effect of safety and environmental considerations on the future role of nuclear energy cooperation are important topics for OECD countries.
The NEA program of work has for many years proved to be directly relevant to both the U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the U.S. nuclear energy sector as a whole. My own personal experience has been very positive, and I look forward to sharing in the Paris celebration honoring the world-wide leadership role of the NEA.
Sincerely, b
