Dear Mr. Kingsley:
By letter dated July 21,1998, Commonwealth Edison Company (Comed) provided Siemens Power Corporation (SPC) fuel and General Electric (GE) fuel Minimum Critical Power Ratio (MCPR) data for Quad Cities, Unit 1, Cycle 16. This data was sent in response to an NRC letter and safety evaluation relating to SPC, " Acceptance for Referencing of Licensing Topical Report EMF-1125(P), Supplement 1, Appendix C, 'ANFB Critical Power Corporation Application for Co-Resident Fuel,"' dated May 9,1997. In the July 21,1998, letter, Comed requested written confirmation that the data provided satisfies the c,ondition of the NRC letter. The staff confirms that the data provided does meet Condition 2 as stated in the May 9,1997, letter.
