NRC INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-440/98014(DRS)
Dear Mr. Myers:

On July 22,1998, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) completed an inspection at your
Perry Nuclear Power Plant. The enclosed report presents the results of the inspection.
The purpose of the inspection was to review corrective actions for previously identified NRC
issues. The inspector concluded that your staff was effective in implementing corrective actions
for notices of violation, licensee event reports, unresolved items and inspection follow up items.
No cited violations of NRC requirements were identifieb.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and the
. enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
