Dear Mr. Miller:

This refers to your June 30,1998, response to the Notice of Violation (NOV) transmitted to i you with inspection Report 70-7002/90-206, dated June 2,1998. We have reviewed your i

response to the NOV and determined that it meets the requirements of 10 CFR 2.201. In l

.your response, you acknowledged the cited violations, 98-206-02, 98-206-03, and l

98-206-05. However, we find that your response to Violation 98-206-03 is incomplete in i

that, no discussion was given as to why corrective actions for a previous similar violation

(re
70-7002/97-206-06) were not effective in preventing occurrence of Violation 98-206-03.

Altncugh Violation 97-206-06 did not specifically mention the equipment associated with l

Violation 98-200-03, failure to consider other similar areas where Violation 97-206-06 would apply resulted in inad%este corrective actions, Therefore, you are required to respond to this letter and should fosm the same instructions specified in the original Notice when preparing your response.

RESPONSE TO INSPECTION REPORT 70-7002/98-206

Dear Mr. Miller:

We have reviewed your response to the NOV and determined that it meets the requirements of 10 CFR 2.201. In your response, you acknowledged the cited violations,98-206-02,98-206-03, and 98-206-05. Although Violation 97-206-06 did not specifically mention the equipment associated with Violation 98-206-03, failure to consider other similar areas where Violation 97-206-06 would apply resulted in inadequate corrective actions. We have reviewed your corrective actions for the remaining cited violations and have no further questions at this time. Your corrective actions will be examined during future inspections.
