Dear Mr. Murley:

Reference (a) provided the Atomic Safety Licensing Board (ASLB) initial decision on emergency planning issues for Braidwood Station. The decision stipulated changes that needed to be made to the Braidwood Station Public Information Booklets (PIB's).

Reference (b) provided Commonwealth Edison Company's commitment to implement these changes and provided the schedule for implementation.

i The purpose of this letter is to notify you that the distribution of the 1987 Public Information Booklets (PIBs) for Braidwood Station has been completed, in accordance with References (a) and (b).

Specifically, during the period of August 7, through August 12, 1987, over 19,000 copies of the 1987 Braidwood PIB were mailed out to all residences and businesses within the 10 mile plume exposure pathway Emergency Planning Zone (EPZ) for Braidwood Station. Additionally, between August 26 and October 16, 1987, Ceco personnel delivered approximately 6,000 copies of the 1987 Braidwood PIB to 60 special facilities around and within the 10 mile plume exposure pathway EPZ for Braidwood Station, including governmental offices, recreation areas, major industries, schools, notels, post offices and 4

libraries.
