STAFF REQUIREMENTS - BRIEFING ON OPERATING REACTORS AND FUEL FACILITIES,2:00 P.M., WEDNESDAY, JULY 29,1998, COMMISSIONERS' CONFERENCE ROOM, ONE WHITE FLINT NORTH, ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND (OPEN TO PUBLIC ATTENDANCE)
The Commission was briefed by the NRC staff on the results of the recent Senior Management meeting.
Relative to the discussion about Quad Cities, the Commission requested additional information (subsequently provided) on the schedule for permanent resolution of the fire protection issues.
The staff should recommend to the Commission the scope -- including consideration of generic safety issues - and timing for a Commission meeting with the licensee for D.C. Cook.
