Section 147 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, requires the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to submit quarterly reports on the nondisclosure of safeguards information. In keeping with this requirement, I am pleased to inform you that for the quarter beginning on April 1 and extending through June 30,1998, the NRC neither released nor denied to the public any documents containing safeguards information.
